Since 1989, Natracare

Natracare tampons are made from organic, GM-free,
100% cotton and do not contain synthetic materials such as rayon.
Natracare pads are made from Totally Chlorine
Free pulp (wood derived) used for the core and the "sleeve" of the pads. We also
use a biodegradable starch-based material as a barrier for the pad. Other
products are using petroleum derived plastics as a liner and "sleeve."

All Natracare Products Are:
Totally chlorine-free (TCF) - chlorine bleaching creates a by-product
called dioxin which has extremely harmful effects on the environment and
has been linked to ill health. Dioxin is a known carcinogen.
