ABOUT WELEDA
Weleda’s
mission is to support the natural healing abilities of the individual, thereby
strengthening the health and wellbeing of our customers worldwide. In order to
achieve this, we develop and produce the highest quality complementary medicine,
nutritional supplements and holistic body care products.
In 1921, Weleda pioneered
the use of bio-dynamic and organic ingredients in the personal care industry.
Since this time, Weleda has adhered to these original quality standards,
continuing to use biodynamic and organic ingredients to create its unique
preparations. All formulations are free of synthetic preservatives, fragrances,
colorants and parabens, and the ingredients and finished products are never
tested on animals.
Their pure plant extracts and ingredients are harvested throughout the world,
either from our own gardens, or through contractual partnerships with farmers.
They work with local farmers, helping them to convert their conventional farms
into sustainable, organic agriculture. Through these Fair Trade agreements,
Weleda offers economic and social support to these communities. Such practices
uphold Weleda's founding virtue, "In harmony with nature and the human being."

QUESTIONS REGARDING
Q. Why are Weleda Toothpastes free of added fluoride?
A. Weleda does not add fluoride to its oral care products, as an excessive
quantity of fluoride can cause health risks. Fluoride is naturally taken in
through mineral water and other sources. Thus, additional quantities are often
not needed. However, if extra fluoride is necessary to improve health, this
should be determined and prescribed by a health practitioner.
Q. Does Weleda have a peppermint-free toothpaste?
A. Weleda's Calendula Toothpaste is free of Peppermint Oil, making it a favorite
among homeopathic practitioners. In lieu of Peppermint, this formula is flavored
with organic Fennel Oil and Licorice. If this is of interest, just let us
know and we will order it in for you. It isn't as popular as the online items we
carry from them.
Q. What is Weleda Ratanhia Mouthwash Concentrate, and how do I use it?
A. Weleda Ratanhia Mouthwash Concentrate is a refreshing pick-me-up perfect for
anytime of the day and is ideal to clean and soothe your teeth and gums. To use
this essential formula, shake a few drops into a glass of water and rinse or
gargle. This mouthwash is highly concentrated, as one bottle makes up to
one-half gallon. It is recommended that cold water be used for a refreshing
mouthwash and warm water for a sore throat gargle. If this is of interest,
